The key criterion is that your project should be unique to you and solve a real problem — not a tutorial clone that hundreds of other candidates also have on their resume. During the first week, your mentor helps you refine the idea, define clear deliverables, and select the right technology stack. The goal is a deployed, production-grade project at a live public URL with a clean GitHub repository that becomes the strongest piece in your portfolio.

BYOP admission is a straightforward three-step process designed to ensure you are a good fit for one-on-one mentorship. First, you submit your resume and a brief description of your project idea through the application form, along with a refundable application token of 499 rupees. Second, we review your resume and schedule a 15-minute Google Meet screening call where we discuss your background, your project idea, and what you want to achieve. Third, you receive an admission decision within 48 hours. If you are selected, the remaining balance of 9,500 rupees is due before mentorship begins. If you are not selected, your 499 rupee token is fully refunded — no questions asked. There are no prerequisite courses — BYOP is completely independent of Course 1 (AI Fluency) and Course 2 (AI & Data Fellowship). Admission is rolling, meaning you can apply at any time throughout the year.

BYOP provides comprehensive one-on-one support throughout the entire 45-day journey. You get all-day WhatsApp access to your mentor for quick questions, code reviews, and architecture decisions — this is not a chatbot, it is direct communication with Arpit Tiwari. Regular Google Meet sessions are scheduled for deeper discussions, progress reviews, and pair programming when needed. Beyond the project itself, you receive two structured mock interviews — one technical simulation and one exit round — with detailed written feedback on your performance. Hundreds of quiz questions prepare you for real interview scenarios. When your project is complete, it is showcased on SDAI's social media channels and website, giving you public visibility. You also receive a complete resume and LinkedIn overhaul that highlights your unique project, and access to Arpit's personal network of 20 plus hiring managers for referrals.
