BYOP is designed to be flexible — you bring any project idea in the data science, AI, machine learning, or software engineering space, and we help you architect, build, and ship it. Past mentees have built projects ranging from AI-powered recommendation engines and RAG chatbots to data analytics dashboards, automated reporting pipelines, NLP-based document processors, and full-stack web applications with AI integrations. The key criterion is that your project should be unique to you and solve a real problem — not a tutorial clone that hundreds of other candidates also have on their resume. During the first week, your mentor helps you refine the idea, define clear deliverables, and select the right technology stack. The goal is a deployed, production-grade project at a live public URL with a clean GitHub repository that becomes the strongest piece in your portfolio.
How does the BYOP admission process work?
BYOP admission is a straightforward three-step process and applying is completely free. First, you submit your resume and a brief description of your project idea through the application form — no token or payment to apply. Second, we review your resume and schedule a 15-minute Google Meet screening call where we discuss your background, your project idea, and what you want to achieve. Third, you receive an admission decision within 48 hours. If you are selected, the full program fee of 18,999 rupees is due before mentorship begins. There are no prerequisite courses — BYOP is completely independent of Course 1 (AI Fluency) and Course 2 (AI & Data Fellowship). Admission is rolling, meaning you can apply at any time throughout the year.
What support do I get during the 45 days?
BYOP provides comprehensive one-on-one support throughout the entire 45-day journey. You get all-day WhatsApp access to your mentor for quick questions, code reviews, and architecture decisions — this is not a chatbot, it is direct communication with Arpit Tiwari. Weekly 2+ hour live calls are scheduled for deeper discussions, progress reviews, and pair programming, and you receive written minutes and a task plan after every call.
